Professional Pet Services was founded by Laurie Wagner in August of 2000 out of her love for her dog Cleopatra. She is a full Professional Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. PPS is bonded through Travelers and insured through Royal Sun and Alliance for your peace of mind. PPS is also a member of Pet Sitters International.

Service Area

  • Social Hour - Work long hours? Come home to a VERY relaxed & happy dog! Let your high energy, friendly pup run with the pack! 
  • Private Basic Obedience Training - Your dog will learn to respect & obey your commands, on the first time you issue it. Also, good doggie manners will be taught- no jumping or pulling on leash!
  • Intense Behavior Modification- Please do not think your dog is "too old" or just "not social". I've turned around dogs that have done bodily harm to other dogs as old as 10 years. Please set up a consulation before you give your dog up. If I cannot make a difference after the first session, there will be no charge.
  • Puppy Orientation - 1 hour class, concentrating on housebreaking & general puppy issues, such as nipping & jumping. Start off on the right paw, before problems begin. Best time is BEFORE you bring the puppy home, or as soon as possible thereafter.
  • Boarding In My Home

    Your dog will stay in my home, along side Cleo & 2 cats. He will go out dog walking with me all day long & get to play in a fenced in yard during down time (weekends, for instance). At night time, he will hang out with us & then sleep here (crate optional).

Laurie and Cesar Millan, The Dog Whisperer

Laurie Wagner, known as "The Dog Whisperer of The South Shore", with Cesar Millan during his 2007 DogTraining Seminar.

She is often compared to him during her training sessions. Her "natural" training methods, using body language & facial expressions, instead of using treats to bribe your dog or force to intimidate him, has been the key to her success.

Come home from your vacation to a happy, better behaved dog! Your dog will be kept here with me at my home (no cat-aggressive dogs allowed please). Your dog will come out with Cleopatra & me dog walking ALL DAY LONG. He will be well-exercised, obedient trained & properly socialized by the time you pick him up (minimum 5 days). Private training session is recommended at the end of your stay to reinforce all that was learned (when you have settled in from your trip & have time).$85/day
